This year Real Medicine has joined with the Body Fusion team to compete in the 2009 Ironman 70.3 download A Crude Awakening: The Oil Crash competition as Athletes for Real Medicine. A grueling

2.4-mile (3.9km) swim, 112-mile (180 km) bike and 26.2-mile (42.2 km) marathon run, this historic race takes its competitors on a journey through the harsh, unpredictable terrain of Kailua-Kona Hawaii, an area known for weather conditions that can change at any moment.

A true test of physical, mental, and emotional endurance, Ironman 70.3 demands every ounce of those willing to compete and so, the five members of the Athletes for Real Medicine team–AnaMaria Mendoza, Carlos Miron, Dan Nelson, Bob Salatich, and Juan Sevilla–have chosen to link their personal fight with the fight to save the lives of people around the world.
